Welcome! Hope everyone had a Happy Jesus Day, and the Fat B&E expert brought you what you wanted...and snow tires too!
Bre and I spent the xmas week in Barrie with my family. It was nice, and I enjoyed seeing my family and friends in Barrie. I also enjoyed the spinach dip, and shrimp! My folks were very generous this year, giving Bre and I some very nice gifts, but, I would have to say my favorite was the globe my brother got for me. He and I were in Home Sense like 3 months ago, just looking at the random stuff they have in there...trying on the armour sets, and jumping out at people, when I noticed this globe, and mentioned I liked it. Well, when I left to come back to Kingston, he went back and got it for me, it was very thoughtful, and unexpected, and its perfect!
I told Bre that she had no presents at my house, and that the gift exchange her and I did when she got back from Mexico was it. Well, I surprised her with a pearl necklace...and real one you perverts, and a set of pearl earings. She loved them...thanks Hoover!
I went out on boxing day to try and find hockey gear. I had only skates, socks, and a jersey, and I want to start playing in January, so, I needed more gear. I went to National at 0700, expecting a big line. No one else showed up till 0745, and by 0800 when they opened, there was only 3 of us in line, and no one near my size, so, I knew they were not there for the same gear as me. I was able to get everything I needed for $265. I didnt get a helmet there, because even with the sale, they wanted way to much. I picked one up at Canadian Tire in Kingston for $37 with cage. I am now ready to start playing again, and I can't wait! I am signed up for a B league right now, and I think I need to switch to a C league. I can still skate, and have a pretty decent shot with out gloves on, but, its been 8 years since I have played with gear, and I dont see it working out to well right off the start. One thing is sure, it will be alot of fun, and good PT!
I want Sushi before I go back to work next week, but, I refuse to go back to Sappura any time soon. Horrid service, so I never tip...NEVER. Well, I guess no one else does either, beacuse they have started adding a tip to the bill. No notice about it, not written on the menu, just, BAM, tip me! Losers. So, if anyone knows of another place, please, let me know.
I realized something the other day. As much as I enjoy the time off work, the family, and friends, the thing I like most about this time of year, is World Junior Hockey! Canada has won gold 5 years in a row, and this year looks promising as well. 8-1 against Czeh, and a 15-0 blowout against Borat. Now, I know neither of these teams are real hockey powerhouses, and would likely have trouble competing in the CFB KINGSTON A League, but still, the fast hands, and good stick handling of Canada makes me think that when they finally play a real team on Wednesday, that they will do pretty well!
Irwin out.

Stupid Snow
Welcome to my blog...my intention is to eventually have some retarded news agency do all its "research" by reading my blog on the news...instead of actually checking facts, and doing the work themselves. So, with that in mind...A man in South America has been living on an all onion diet for the past 7 years! Remember, when FOX "News" reports on that, you heard it here first!
So, Bre and I had planned to drive back to Barrie today, to spend Christmas with my family. We planned on leaving around 0900 this morning, but due to the large amounts of alcohol drank last night, we didn't end up rolling out of bed until 0945. We finally got moving, and cleaned up the apartment, and had the car packed for 1115. Just as we were driving off base, it started to snow pretty bad here, and I got a call from a friend in Barrie who said the roads were a right off, and travel today was probably not a good idea. So, we turned around, and went back to bed.
We woke up agian around 1600, and it was a blizzard out! The dog chains we have outside were completely barried, and I had to dig them out before the poor dogs could go out, and Miko jumped into a snow bank, and totally dissapeard! She came out about 5 feet from where she went in, covered in snow, looked like a MINI polar bear.
Its still snowing pretty good here, but hopefully it will stop over night, and we can head to Barrie tomorrow.
More to follow on that, thanks for stopping by,
-Russ
